How to Remember Your Anniversary, and Make Sure It Is Never Missed

How to remember your anniversary sounds like a simple question, yet busy lives mean the date can creep up unnoticed. The good news is that a few small habits make it easy to mark every single year.

I'm Leon, an accredited celebrant and photographer based in Llandudno. The Love Story Registry exists for exactly this reason, so here are my suggestions.

Share the Date

Put your anniversary in a shared calendar with a reminder a few weeks ahead, so you both have time to plan something together.

Remember More Than One Date

Many couples have several: the day you met, the proposal and the wedding. The Registry is for engagements, anniversaries and milestones, so any date that matters can be marked.

Keep a Small Ritual

Walk the same path every year, perhaps around Llyn Tegid or along the coast at Llanddulas, and take one photograph in the same spot.

Write to Each Other

A letter each year becomes a record of your story. How to write an anniversary letter shows how to begin.

Let the Registry Remember for You

With the Love Story Registry, I add your anniversary to my calendar. On the day, a commemorative letter about your love story arrives with Polaroids and postcard-sized imagery from your album, and bespoke wild flowers are delivered to your door. There is no recurring billing: you pay for the year you want to mark.

Your First Year Is Included

A year of the Registry is complimentary with a guided proposal at Where Two Bloom and with both Elope with Leon packages. If you have worked with me before, you can claim your free year on the Registry page.

Spend the Day Together

On the day itself, choose time over things: a walk, a picnic or a summer evening with Twilight Ceremonies.

Wherever You Are

You can choose anywhere for your experiences: your home or garden, elsewhere in the UK, or abroad.

A date remembered keeps a love story warm, year after year. Read about the Love Story Registry, then plan your experience.
