Things to Do on Anglesey for Couples: Beaches, Lighthouses and Quiet Coast Paths

Things to do on Anglesey for couples are mostly about the coast: wide beaches, little lighthouses and paths where you can walk for hours and see hardly anyone. It is one of my favourite places in North Wales to spend time with someone you love.

I'm Leon, an accredited celebrant and photographer based in Llandudno. Here are the places I would send any couple, whichever chapter of their story they are in.

Walk Out to Llanddwyn Island

Through Newborough Forest and along the beach, Llanddwyn feels like the end of the world, with the mountains of Eryri across the water. It is a tidal island, so check the times on EasyTide before you go.

Beaumaris and the Menai Strait

Stroll the seafront at Beaumaris, look up at the castle walls and watch the boats on the Menai Strait. It is gentle, pretty and easy for a slow afternoon.

Penmon Point at the Island's Edge

At Penmon, a lighthouse sits just off the point beside Puffin Island. It is a peaceful place to sit together and watch the sea.

South Stack and the Holy Island Cliffs

The steps down to South Stack lighthouse and the clifftops around Holy Island are wild and dramatic, especially in the evening.

Rhoscolyn and the Coast Path

The Anglesey Coastal Path links quiet coves like Rhoscolyn, Cemlyn and Moelfre. Pick a short stretch, pack a flask and take your time.

Making It Part of Your Story

Anglesey is a natural setting for every chapter: a proposal with Where Two Bloom, an elopement with Elope with Leon, or a summer evening with Twilight Ceremonies. Your photographs from each one gather in your Love Story Album.

Or Somewhere Else Entirely

You can choose anywhere: your home or garden, a special place elsewhere in the UK, or abroad.

An island of beaches and lighthouses is a lovely place to slow down together. Read love story locations across North Wales, then plan your experience when Anglesey is calling.
